My name is John Sewell, I am married with four children and I have been a volleyball enthusiast all my life.
For the past 36 years I have owned a Stationary/Office supplies store, and more recently a Bamboo flooring and carpet business. Both have been successful enterprises and have provided me with a strong business background.
I have had a long career playing Volleyball in both state league and representing WA. In my later years I have played in social competitions as well as coaching juniors. I still enjoy playing socially and I am currently coaching the Perth Volleyball League Div 3 junior boy’s team. I have also coached the Wanneroo Women’s A grade and Men’s A reserve, and I am on the panel for the Greenwood Senior High School volleyball coaching panel who (conduct, are involved with, participate in) the ‘High Schools Cup’ held in Melbourne every year.
I was a member of the State Volleyball Association committee for five years, three of which I held the position of President. I was given the honour of Life Membership in 1972 for my services to the association. I have also been honoured with a life membership to the Wanneroo and Northern Districts Volleyball Association, the association which I founded in 1975.
My passion for the game continues with my coaching and the development of young players. The opportunity to advance young players and help them to experience and enjoy the game outside the school environment is one of my key goals. I hope to remain a positive role model and guide junior volleyball players to achieve their best for many more years to come.
It is because of this long involvement in Volleyball and my business background that it seemed only natural that I branch into the volleyball equipment market. My website is design to provide not only quality equipment, but as a place to find Volleyball links and interesting information.
